Summer Internships At Idealist.org
By Kate | Permalink | No Comments | May 11th, 2007 | TrackbackIf you’re in the right place and meet the right requirements (you have to read the ads!), you could be on the way to an 8-10 week summer internship with Idealist.org.
- A Human Resources Intern is needed in New York to help streamline their processes, and will ideally be either an undergrad or graduate student studying human resources.
- In Portland, Idealist is recruiting three interns: One in marketing research and support – with the goal of increasing the number of organizations using their annual membership option.
- Another in graduate education, who will help support their help support their new and upcoming online Public Service Graduate Education Resource Center and Graduate Degree Fairs for the Public Good.
- And one more in non-profit careers – with the goal of creating resources for the high school/college transition age group to show the range of careers in the non-profit field.
While Idealist is not able to assist with housing, it does offer $1000/month stipend – this is nice not only because, well, it’s nice to be paid, but because it may well mean that people who have the interest but also need to have income can still participate.
I’ve been visiting Idealist for some time now and it’s probably clear that I think it’s a great organization and site… and these are some great opportunities. The deadline for the New York internship is TODAY – the others are open until the 15th, so if you’re interested, get moving!
