Volunteer Resource: Transitions Abroad

Transitions Abroad is an excellent resource not only for those interested in volunteering abroad but for those interested in working or studying abroad as well; it’s an in-print magazine which also has a significant online presence.

The Volunteer Work Abroad and Volunteer Vacations section currently has articles on volunteering and studying in Belize, teaching English in Africa as a volunteer, and making the most of a volunteer vacation. These are generally articles published by individuals with unique experience or insight, and as the editors are on the lookout for well-researched supporting materials and links, you can accordingly find lots of links and contact information in each article.

In the section dedicated to the book Work Abroad, you can preview online some of the volunteer resources provided in print: choosing an organization and a large directory of programs in the Volunteer Vacations section.
